Default Rim Size

I am looking at getting some rims for a 1998 Softail Heritage (FLSTC). The only rear wheel rim I see for the style and manufacturer I am buying is a 16"x3.5". Will this fit on the bike? Do I need to change spacers on the back wheel?

It will fit. As long as it has the same type and size bearings it will.

Should I use a 1 1/8" pulley instead of a 1 1/2"? This is a build, so I have not bought the pulley yet. I would like to put a 140 or 150 tire on the back.

What kind of pulley are you using? Is it a stock pulley?

Don't have one yet. Stock is a 65T 1 1/2" pulley. I am going to have a 113" engine with a six speed. Thinking a 1 1/8" pulley would give more room for tire. I am also putting a Klock Werks stretched rear fender on it.

It all depends on what size tire, what size the hub on the bike is, etc. It is too difficult to determine everything you know from here for me.
