They come with baffles, you can get the quiet baffle which will act as a torque cone.
See pictures. (sorry for the washed out quality)
On the first picture, on the left the standard baffle, middle is the quiet baffle with the wrap and on the right is the baffle from Smartpartz
second pic is the standard baffle look through.
third pic is the quiet baffle look through
fourth pic is the Smartpartz look through
Quiet baffle will give back some torque and brings noise level with about 2 db
Smartpartz baffle ( http://www.smartpartz.com/ ) gives back some more torque and brings noise lever down another 10db

no.. some used them yrs ago on straight non baffled pipes.. few makers any more sell them baffleless.
what Ive read they were not the best choice for performance anyway. only helping get some of the loss in the low revs.

I run the quiet baffles with the Smartpartz together. Gave back most of the low end torque and easier on the ears/neighbors. Still great sound when cracking the throttle.
