great idea...thanks for sharing
does the seat clear it?
Yes, since it sets below the frame there's no problems. My custom seat works just fine. I even lined up my stock seat without the fender just to check and i could stick my hand in between the seat and where the ecm laid.
Any idea how the computer will hold up over time with the temperature under the seat on the inside of the oil bag like that?. I hope it lasts because I followed your lead and purchased one of these badboy batteries for $200CDN. Cant wait to get it and get my project on the way!!!

I used that padding that came with the battery to cover (secure) the battery in place, plus i think that padding will help with the heat. Kinda shield it from the ECM, but i really don't see it getting that hot to do any damage. Good Luck!!
Hey bradleym03, I just looked at Shorai's web site and they say a replacement for my Fatboy is part number LFX24L3-BS12 and it retails for $249.00........what are you riding? Also the battery they say I should use doesn't look any smaller than the HD version.

Yeah, i just check their website. They are suggesting that for my Night Train as well. And it is the bigger case, but i've had no problems with LFX18L1-BS12 so far which they suggest when i first bought mine. It is inches smaller all the way around. You might try to contact the company and ask if there is a big difference between them.
