Looking at a C&C seat. Air ride wasn't too bad just had a small issue getting the shoulder bolts to squeeze through the new shock. Used a dremel buffing wheel to polish it out. Do not use a grinding wheel this will take all the Teflon off.
Not having the tools and never working on a Harley before took me some extra time.
The C&C seats are highly recommended around this site. The styling is good, too. If I wasn't so die-hard set on replacing my stock seat with another springer, I'd have a really hard time deciding between C&C and LePera. They both look great with positive reviews.
I'm not entirely clear on what you did with the dremel. I'm sorry. When I lowered mine, I just used a bolt kit. So...I'm a little confused. Air-ride is something I hope to do eventually.
Oh, when it comes to bars, TAKE YOUR TIME picking them out. There are thousands of styles out there and you want to be happy with your final selection. It is definitely not something to rush into.
When it comes to wheels, I'd definitely look at eventually placing a 21" up front. I think it is a great look, especially for Deluxe.
Bikes before my Harley was a Suzuki GSXR 750 and a Yamaha R6. Got tired of my back killing me after riding for a few hours. Also cops around the Houston area really like to harass sport bike riders.
Will be doing wheels later this year possibly. Have to chill on spending on the bike for a bit.
