Some time ago someone posted up a DIY writeup for putting a pair of regulated USB ports into the front of the console.
But I'll be damned if I can find it now.
In any event your probably better off putting a standard cigarette lighter plug someplace on the bike and using one of the cheap USB power adapters they sell for a couple of bucks now for your phone.
With a little imagination and some extra plugs a standard lighter plug can be used for everything from charging your phone or running a GPS to plugging the battery tender in when the snow flies.

I was actually gonna get one of these so I could plug in my iPhone while using it as a GPS, which is also handlebar mounted.
And I agree with the versatility of a normal cigarette lighter - you never know when you might want or need to use it for something else.
I took a USB charger, the little ones for cig lighters, wired it under my seat to acc, plugged in a spare USB cable, ran it up the backbone under the tank to the handle bars where my iPhone mounts. Works like a charm, hidden, always available wether it's used or not. PC of cake
