Default HELP !!!! Headlight Trouble

I bought a halogen reflective headlight. When I hook it up and turn it on low beam, it's not bright at all, then I switch to hi-beam and I have nothing. Almost acts like it has a ground issue or short. Re-installed the old light, every things back to normal. Wondered if there is something else I need to get this thing to work

sounds like a ground issue, or the wrong bulb?

Plus 1 on the ground issue... make sure that the front of your bike is grounded.

When I added my passing lamps, I discovered that the stock ground indie the headlight bucket was very weak. I ran a new ground wire to the front tank bolt and everything worked much better.
