Default Changing Fenders

I have had some take off fenders custom painted and will need to get them installed on my '05 Fat Boy. The front looks like a no-brainer but the rear concerns me. I am reasonably wrench-handy and leave the serious mechanical work to the pros but I'd like to take a shot at it. How long should it take (I am very careful & methodical)? Any snags to be watchful of? I think I have the tools needed and also have a good, ATV jack if it needs to be raised. Thanks, Ed

Default RE: Changing Fenders

No jack needed. Take off the seat and disconnect the wiring harness that leads to the tailight. Take the tailight lens off and disconnect the turn sig wires and feed them through to the inside of the fender. loosen all fender support bolts. Remove each chrome fender support but replace just two bolts in the fender struts to support the fender while you take off the other chrome fender support then remove the loose bolts and fender. Done. Its really easy and I know what I wrote may sound confusing but once you get into it you'll understand.

Good luck.
