Congrats on the new ride, your going to love that new FI 96 inch engine. Just be careful of getting it too slow in any gear, but especially in 6th below 50/55. Roll on the throttle a bit too hard and it will make you think the engine is trying to jump out of the frame.
Really spooked the hell out of me when I did it. Take my word for it you WON'T want to try it twice.
Funny that you forgot or didn't know about the ****, your the second guy I have heard of that's had that ahppen in a week. So don't feel too bad, your not alone.
When I picked my bike up the dealer has a little garage area. Seperate from the rest of the shop with its own outside door. They had one of the mechanics go over the entire bike with me, showing me everything on it and how it worked. I knew most of it already because I had done my homework, but he still managed to point out things I didn't know about. Espesially how to work the security system, and reset the pin number to something different from the factory 11111 setting. He stayed with me until I was satisfied. Then he opened the door and off I went, scared to death I was going to fall over on the biggest, and heaviest, if not the quickest bike I had ever ridden on.
But I managed to get it, and me home in one piece and we have been a happily running all over the area ever since.

i bet the smile hasnt left your face, has it? i just got my first harley this summer. when i was having a crappy day or things werent just right i would open the garage door and look at it or if i wasnt at home i would just say to myself " HEY I OWN A HARLEY!" and i would smile again and everything would be all better.
there is nothing better than knowing you own a harley and you can hit the highway, get away from all of lifes problems, atleast for a little while.. enjoy my friend!!!

Just finished breaking my Train in....whatta bike.

Good Choice !

Be safe,I've been hitting tight turns a little fast lately,I need to keep my excitment under control, can't turn on a dime with that big tire in back.

Have fun with the new ride Hoss and don't forget to post some pictures.

Still smilin!!!

Love the bike!! Have not noticed any wierd noises coming from engine. Did notice that the bike 'clunks" into first after starting. Hope that is normal.
Pipes are not as loud as I thought they would be. Maybe cause everybody around here have aftermarket pipes
Did notice some surging in first gear, not sure why, maybe due to the tight emission standards?

Some cons: Butt is sore!! Could use a little more leg room. Need more time to ride
