hey all
HIPunch,
Yea the "clunk" is normal, or it seems to be. Everyone who's gotten a new 07 seems to notice the same thing.
T3,
Be careful leaning into turns too hard. I found out that that nice fat tire can be a little spooky. I was heading home and turned right at a light. I was happy the bike was being its usual GREAT, and as I went round the corner I started twisting the throttle a little too hard.
You know those little strips of tar the put down to fill cracks?
Well, lean A fat Hog over, twist the grip a bit too hard and you may be in for a shock. Every time that rear tire crossed one of those tar strips, it lost traction and "skipped" sidewise for a few inches. Little more throttle and I think I would have dumped it.
Not my idea of fun and games, I plan on getting a lot older without getting my nice new Custom, or me all scratched up because I had a mometary case of the stupids.
So a word to the wise, be careful riding a Softail like a Buell, when it comes to corners they not in the same league at all.
