super tuner questions
Moved from an elevation of 2800ft to an elevation of 715 feet. The bike now starts alot harder and uses a lot more fuel its been a month or so and was hoping ecm would adapt on its own but no luck. Looking for what map or if i can just adjust a setting in the tuner to help me out. Thanks
What tuner do you have? SERT? If so, the computer in closed loop mode can only tune +- 5% so you would need to get it re-dyno'd if you want it right. OR.... you can reset the computer after a few hundred miles and have it relearn baseline. A local indy showed my buddy this with his 09 heritage. He pulled the ecm fuse for a few minutes, then re-installed it and cycled the ignition selector swtich from off to run in 30 second intervals for 6 cycles. (on for 30 seconds off for 30 second 6 times) Never start the bike, until the 6 cycles are done. Ride for 4-500 miles so that the computer can compensate again and repeat. If it does not make a noted difference in two attempts than it just isn't that far off.
Maybe its voodoo, I don't know but it worked on the heritage.
