Depends on what you want to wake up. Are you wanting low and midrange or upper end or a little of all?

I have a 2007 Heritage so this cam won't be for you but I went with an Andrews 24H mild bolt in cam for mine. Had exactly what I wanted. The power band was in the low and midrange. Really did wake the bike up and I kid you not. Especially with the two up riding. I wasn't interested in top end

You really want to research. If all your doing is a bolt in cam and nothing else then you want to choose your cam carefully. Not to aggressive as you will end up wearing things out faster. Do a lot of searching and there are plenty of guys on here that know a lot about cams. Post your questions and you will get answers.

Many opinions. Have you put an exhaust/AC kit on it? I would suggest Woods 6-6, and while you're in there, update to the hydrolic tensioner set-up with better oil pump.

Best bet is to figure out who you're going to have do the cams (indy, stealer), unless you're planning on doing them yourself, and consulting with them regarding what they'd recommend. Most have a preference for certain cams and know what they've had success with. They also may have some access to discounts on a particular brand or model that may factor into your final decision.

Otherwise, do plenty of homework as there are a whole lot of variables to consider and there's a ton of information out there. One link to check out is the Big Boyz Head Porting site - they have a cam comparator which allows you to select up to three cams and compare the specs.

Also, Nightrider's site has some good information, including a table with many of the most popular cams.

If you are leaving it an 88" then Andrews 21's, 26's or SE 203. Replace inner cam bearings with b-148, check/replace tensioners or if funds allow, upgrade oil pump and cam plate with hyrdo tensioners.

without knowing your riding style????

One of the better all around cams for your 88''er would be some Andrews 21's..

Above said Andrews - 24H's,,, but I've Never heard of them...

I put some Andews 26H's in my 07 - 96''er and I really like them.

The engine now runs 10-15 cooler.. make close to 20% more TQ all the way across the sheet, I am getting 3-5 better fuel mileage and they are easy on the top end..

They are great for low end TQ as I ride two up 90% of the time with the wife and I can cruise all day in 6th gear at 60 mph easy because of the extra TQ at 2200 rpms.

They also hang in there till 5200 rpms when you need to wind her out

so some 21's or 26's would be a good choice for all around cams in an otherwise stock Stg 1 engine..

I'll add I do have the SERT, and did a dyno tune.. which back in 07 was IMO the best tuner, now days their are MANY more options of tuners to choose from.

good luck..
