I agree with Youngneg . . . I purchased the complete set from Custom Dynamics and they are bright as hell! Simple plug and play, no hassle, and their customer service is awesome.
I replaced the bulbs and the lenses (smoked). The LEDs drop right in. For me, it was a very cost effective way to switch over to LEDs without having to spend all the $$ for new signal housings. I'm all about more bang for the buck and like you, I spent alot of time researching LEDs. Bought from Custom Dynamics and am VERY satisfied.
Did you guys with the Lo's need to do the load equalizers or did you just plug and play with the bullet style LEDs?
For some reason I think I read that the 2011 softails didn't need a load equalizer but that the others did. I have a 2010 Lo and if I'm gonna order the bulbs I might as well order the equalizer with it if it's necessary.
I have a set of Radiantz for the rear, turn signal/brake light kit. They were hard wired to the harness. Had used them on several other Harleys and I love them. Very bright even as running lights. They are worth the investment.
