I just installed this light this weekend on my 2010 Lo. At the same time, I deleted the old rear turn signals. Funny thing was, I tried installing the new light with the load equalizers I also bought from D2Moto, but the LEs got very hot. So I tried the install without the LEs and at first the turn signals in the light blinked fast (as I expected), but after a couple of minutes, they began to blink normal. Since then, they blink normal everytime without the LEs. I have no clue why, but if anyone needs two LEs, let me know. You can have them for free, just pay shipping. My way of paying it forward to the forum for the cool ideas I have found here. I did shorten some of the LE wires, but they should work fine.
If anyone else has installed this light on your lo, I would be curious as to whether your turn signals in the light blinked normal without LEs after deleting the old turns signals. In any event, it saved me the headache of trying to determine why the LEs were getting very hot when installed.
I just ordered that same tail light last night. I have read that on the 2011 Fatboy LO there is no need for LE's so I hope all will work out. BTW how do you like the light? is it bright? Let me know what you think of it.
I've been running this for a month now and I love it. However..I never did hook up the turn signal part and now I want to do that but I also want to keep the OEM signals. Can I do that without using the LE and will it cause any issues?

i think there's another thread about this taillight, and that question was asked.. and i think the answer was No, you need the load equilizers, and it's a pain in the tuchus to combine the wires.
Forgot to add that on my FXST I had to use the LEs. I really don't see where they get that hot though. I'm very happy with the light. Great price that's for sure.

I am generally happy with the light. It could be brighter but for $50, its at least as good as the OEM. I really like the integrated signals. I think the rear looks much cleaner with no signal lights. I copied rquirch, so he gets the credit.
I would be interested in the LEs if you still have them. Let me know... thanks!
Shoot me your address. I just want to hold them for a couple of weeks to ensure that the blinking doesn't revert back, but if all stays well, I will be happy to send them to you.
