rear axle nut covers

rear axle nut covers

i have the 2010 fatboy lo with rush slip on mufflers. i want to get the blacl rear axle covers from harley. somebody posted awhile back the covers hit the mufflers i like to know before i get them thanks alot lets ride togeather KOJAX

I put them on my bike, and although i have V&H BSS's.. the axle nut covers only stick out about another 1/4" from where the axle nut is now..

assuming you mean part number 43422-09

I've got the same pipes as Sgt Jim and the bolt covers don't get in the way at all. Unless your pipes are right up against the bolt, you shouldn't have any problems.

yeah that's what i was getting at.. if there's more than 1/4"-3/8" clearance between the mufflers and the axle nut, you'll be fine.. might have an issue actually getting them ON.. but once you get past the muffler it should be good..
