Default 21/3.25/140 problems

ok so i ordered a 21/3.25 rim band from jireh cycles thinking i could just use factory spokes and hub off of my 06 standard. first 30 spokes went in fine but last 10 kept getting longer. my indy shop is trying to stay away from cutting the last 10. they tried 9 1/4 and still to long so looks like 9" would fit. anyone know where to get 9" spokes? and what do u guys think of having the 10 longs ones cut? been waiting forever to have this rim done so i can get my 140 put on and find out what it looks like!

If the last 10 won't go in because they are too long, then either the other 30 have been laced improperly, or they were too long to begin with. I think i'd find another shop. Think about it... the only possible end result of continuing this course of action is an off-center hub, or an asymetrically laced wheel... neither of which is good.

If I have misunderstood your description of the problem, then for sure you can get 9 inchers (or any size) from Buchanan's.

Think about it, if ALL spokes were the same length when you started lacing and at one point the last 9 are too long. One of too things has happened, someware along the way the lacing is incorrect, or ALL the spokes are the wrong length.
Cheers!

Might be kind of cool, like a clown bike. As you're riding down the road, the front end would be bopping up and down. j/k, like they said above.

Double cool to have both wheels of the clown bike laced that! Would be a cool video!
