Default sporster rim hub

is the hub length size the same on all harleys spoke rims like 2.5" and 3"? i mean, can i take a hub from a 2.5" rim and put it on a 3" rim without any trouble? Or Could i have some problems when lacing the spokes due to the 1/2" difference from one rim to the other?

You have to determine what diameter rim you are using. Then the diameter of the hub and buy the appropriate length spokes to lace it up. Lacing wheels is an art and can be a pain if your just learning. Have another spoked wheel handy so you can follow the pattern and be consistent.

Spokes come in several different lengths and designs so you shouldn't have to much of a problem finding what you need. Good luck on your project.
