Hi guys, I just bought a pair of Custom Dynamics Tag Boltz.
You can check them out here: http://www.customdynamics.com/illumi...#LED_Tag_Bolts
I got the dual white and red and plan to hook the red up to the brake light.
I have read quite a bit about others needing load balancers or equalizers but with whole LED tailights, blinkers, etc.
There is no information on the power draw or anything like that other than they run 12VDC. So the big question is am I allright just wiring the white light to the license plate light and the red to the brake light without any other need for balancers and/or resistors?
Thanks.
No need for a load equalizer unless it is turn signals that blink. The load euqlizer adjsuts the load so that the signals blink at the proper rate is all.

I needed a load equalizer when I changed rear signals to LED's without it they wouldn't blink right.
Let me try this again. A load equalizer is needed on turn signals but not on a brake light or running lights. It allows the signals to blink at the proper rate. Since the other lights do not blink it is not necessary.
LOL. Got it the first time Drew. Thank you. I got them installed. A little bigger than I want but now my plate is lit up. I bought the bike used and the previous owner had done the soft brake mod for the tombstone tail light and put the plate below the tail light but did nothing for illuminating the plate. The bike is loud enough I don't need to give the cops another reason to stop me. But I think my tail light running light is dimmed a bit now.
