Harley custom wheels? I notice most people on here replace their stock wheels with aftermarket versions. Why don't more people use the Harley Brand? Unlike most accessories their wheels are actually affordable compared to what others are selling for. I can get Harley wheels for 349 each, but Hogpro wants 1200 each. Someone please educate me on what I am missing. I have considered the Magnum Wheels for my NT, picture attached.
Thanks,
b
I have had both harley and 2 sets of hog pro, both are good and afforable but harley didnt offer the sizes i wanted for a bagger, harley has stepped up their game and for the money you cant go wrong when i get some for my new toy im going harley . Good luck
Nothing wrong with Harley wheels, but if you want quality chrome finish it has to be forged aluminum, not cast (as with H/D's). Also, take into consideration the aftermarket offers highly attractive styles, designs and larger diameters, which is the trend.
I went through the wheel comparison for months before ordering these RC Components. Wouldn't hesitate in purchasing their products again for another bike.
Yeah I would say it mainly boils down to design taste. I went with RC Components for mine. Not saying that Harley doesn't offer good wheels, I just like the more aggressive designs and options (Eclipse Fusion) you get from aftermarket.
Harley does not make the style of wheels I want. Plain and simple I really don't like their aftermarket wheel options.

Oh, come on Drew, no maintenance involved with cast wheels. I have to say your bike looks ****, just a different path than I am taking. Just imagine never having to tighten those spokes! Thanks for the reply.

I purchased a 2009 NT and I was curious about the HD Street Slammers any issue? I changed by bars to the FatBob set up to see if it would help my shoulders and it made it worse!

Actually, those wheels look badass! And if you had them on your sled most would not know they were HD anyways (at least the ones your showing).
They might claim they would know, but they wouldn't. The guys on this forum might know, but that's because most of us are obsessed with researching modifications (semi pro's). Most on the street would be asking you where you got those sik wheels.
For the cost those wheels are pretty hard to beat. If u like them, get them. That's a huge price difference. If I liked a Harley wheel style I woulda bought them...
