That kit will work. JP cycles sells a burnout kit, that is easier but twice the money. A lot of people will say you need a press to install those bolts. You can compress the shock with a jack or a vise.
PM me if you need some help.

I used a kit like this on my 07 FXSTC as soon as I got it home. Almost 3 1/2 years later is still working fine.

Seems kind of pricey. I've read other (older) threads where people say they pick these up for around $20.00. Maybe they've gone up, but I'd keep on looking, or just save for the 422s. Got my 422s (used, but practically brand new) for less than $200 last year.

Just installed that kit (the cheaper one, I'm not paying for a name) on my '05 'Train. It's a bit of a pain to get the shocks off when all you've got is a floor jack, but with some creativity and some wood blocks it can be accomplished. I had a shop put the kit on the shocks, not being sure what to expect when compressing and decompressing them with just a bench vise. So far they are great, but definitely pick up a shock adjusting tool at the stealer to adjust the preload so it doesn't bottom out in the new lowered position (about 15 bucks).

I lowered mine about an 1" this weekend with 2 chrome lug nuts, a few flat washers and a couple of split spacers. It cost under $10!
