I'm considering changing out my FLSTC pipes for a set of 2n1s. I like the new V&H Pro Pipe but it is "not recommended" according to V&H. It sits too close and can damage the Heritage Saddlebags.
I tried the forum search and found some good photos of the fatcat and thunderheader. Both look to sit lower than the Pro Pipe and should avoid damaging the saddlebags. Are there other options out there?
I like it. It's not very loud (to me). The motor is pretty tame though. Carbed w/203's. Lopes a little. It goes ok, has a nice bark when you shift (and/or) throttle back.
A former riding buddy (he sold his bike) had an 03 Heritage with a Pro Pipe.
It fit fine w/the saddlebags. Nice sound. He had the 95 w/gear drive 510's.
His barked a little louder than mine.
I like the (traditional) T/H sound (my opinion only!)
The Fatcat has a clean crisp rap(not like the music), and the
P/P has a deeper throatier sound (More so than the T/H)
I'm thinking any of those three will perform excellent. It would be cool to run all three on the same motorcycle just to see which one tunes easiest, and overall out-performs the others.
In my sigpic is SuperTrapp increase/decrease hp, torque & decibels depending on number of discs. Don't have the link handy but google it and check out their web page if at all interested in the look.
