Thats one of the few custom wheels I like. Go for it, I think it would look good on a NT. I also would stick with chrome, the train is already black enough, IMO.

I think for the price, the HD cast is a good buy.
It's very plain if you like plain, but search, there are a million choices out there..

I'm going with these in the spring.

Currently, they don't make the rear wheel size, if not by spring, then these:

All of our wheels are FORGED, not cast. They are stronger and lighter than cast.

Thanks,

Jerry @ Hogpro

Thanks for the tip Jerry. [sm=thanx.gif]

T3,
I went over to the Hogpro site and found their "Indy" wheels are a close match for the HD six spokers that you were looking at.

In chrome.

http://www.hogpro.com/imagebox.php?n...part-pic74.jpg

And black powdercoat.

http://www.hogpro.com/imagebox.php?n...art-pic425.jpg

Either would look really nice on a NT front end. I like the black one best, the "rivets" around the rim perimiter make it look like the ones used on the stock NT rear wheel. Get the rear powdercoated to match and it would make for a nice set.

Sorry, the images don't link properly, guess you'll just have to click on the links to see them.

I wonder how those black powder coated front wheels would look with the stock black rear wheel since it's not a gloss finish?

Images linked fine for me,Thanks Citoriplus

Got to work with photoshop to get a rough idea.(lousy photoshop work, hate to get picky on weekends)

Took the pic of the Train HD has on their website and added Hogpro's chrome Indy wheel and then to see what black wheels would look like I used the Image of Hogpro's Nightrain project bike and changed it's Eight Spoke wheels to black....

If that's something you might like to try Sean883,then I wouldn't be worried about the the gloss finish not matching the rear wheel well enough---it wouldn't be anywhere as much of a difference as it is stock from the factory (black slotted rear wheel with a conventional chrome spoke laced wheel up front.

You might want to check the Black front and back wheels photshop pic in my last post to get an idea of what black would look like...

Paint It Black-
The Rolling Stones

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and theyre all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens evry day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts
Its not easy facin up when your whole world is black

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the settin sun
My love will laugh with me before the mornin comes

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
Hmm, hmm, hmm,...
I wanna see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black

T3, nice job. But I think you started something you may live to regret. I still wish someone would have the same wheel replacement software that www.TireRack.com uses.

BTW if you like the dull finish look of the rear wheel on the NT. There's no law that says you can't take some fine steel wool and use it to knock off the gloss finish on a powdercoated wheel to make it dull too. Or just take a can of flat black spray paint to it. Be an easy job to do.
