Some nice rides! Keithhu how do you like the 14" apes? Did you put them on yourself? Changing the cables looks to be the hardest part of the job. I am hoping to put the same ones on my 04 Heritage.

I'm lovin the 14" Wild1's! I'm a wuss, I shelled out the cash for the dealer to install it. If I had a ton of time I could possibly have gotten through it, but I don't so I helped keep a local dealer in business. I probably could have driven a harder bargain, but heck, everybody's got to make a buck somehow, eh? At least this way I don't feel guilty about pestering them with questions about this or that.
Totally understandable! Cosmetic I'll do my self but mechanical i trust a pro. Since I picked up my 04 last year the only thing I did was install some V&H BSS. It was simple enough and they haven't fallen off yet.
I don't want to change this discussion but since we are all riding twin cam 88's here I feel compelled to mention this because many are still unaware, as I was. On pre "07"s don't ignore the problem with the poor design and potential failure of the cam chain tensioners. There is a ton of information on it here when you do a search. 30K miles is getting in the danger zone, but I'm told they have been known to fail earlier. Awesome pics everyone!
