Default odd noise

My new used train is my 1st bike. So a couple weeks ago I pulled the belt guard off. About a week later I noticed a squeeking sound coming from around my rear wheel. It only does it when in gear & moving. I'll pull the clutch and it goes away. Sounds like a hampster wheel. Just wonder if anyone would have any idea's? Wheel bearings? Can't imagine removing a plastic belt guard would do anything. Any thoughts would be awsome.

Thanks'

Josh

My drive belt will squeak when it's not adjusted right. Did you change the tension or alignment on the rear tire? I'd start adjusting there.

Last time I heard this same issue, a guy had dropped a scew and it lodged in the primary btween the gear and the housing/belt (some how?). When the bike was in gear it was rubbing on the belt making a singing noise and when the clutch was in, no noise.

He finally found the problem and it was a screw as I described. He played hell getting it out.

Hopefully this is not your problem, but jack the bike up and check this out.
