Default Easy Brackets vs Barebacks

Which of these look cleaner on a Heritage with the bags removed?

I just put bare backs on my fatboy, bought the ones that are without docking hardware as I never plan on using my backrest again and I wanted a tighter closer fit for my bags.... They are just far enough away from the bike to look great but keep bags from rubbing against bike.... I really like them and love the ease of removal

Oh and while I like the security of easy brackets you can use the bare backs and just keep wrench in your bag and once you put bags on you can give on bare back on each side a quick quarter turn and then bags can't be removed without wrench but easy enough to turn back and remove!

Does anyone have an opinion on the looks of the two mounting systems? With and without the bags.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only knock against Easy Brackets *on a Heritage* is that they dont deal with the support bar, so you either keep screwing it on (suddenly not so convenient), or saw the support bar off, but then I'd worry about....support.

Also if I'm not mistaken, Easy Brackets require that you drill holes in the bag.

I just put the easy brackets on my fat boy a few days ago....extremely sturdy/high quality construction. when bags are off all that remains on the bike are 2 chrome mounting studs on each side that are about 3/4 inch in diameter (they replace 2 of the fender strut screws). The bags lock on to the studs with a key so pretty secure. Yes you do have to drill 4 holes in the back of each bag.

I think what would look best on (my) heritage is the avatar bangintwins has. But all kidding aside, I have two sets of bags, stock and springer with easy brackets and think they work great. I've never had an issue with the support. I drilled out the two rivets that hold the stock support bar on, removed it altogether, and then drilled two additional holes in the back plastic of the bags and did the install. There is a nice post about reconfiguring the support bar and using it with a cotter pin set up for quick removal, but you'll have to do a search for it unless someone more organized than me has the link. They do move the bags out about na inch but it has never bothered me especially since now I only use the bags for longer rides.

My opinion---Easy brackets look like crap. The bags are moved out and sometimes back.. And you have to drill out the bag...

I wish LegendsMotorcycle that bought out Bubbas would start producing the quick detach kit again.,

I have Easy Brackets and no real complaints, but I must admit, those barebacks (especially with the covers on) look cleaner to me.
