Plug gap for Twin Cam 88.....?
Slow rough starting, and a sluggish throttle finally convinced me to change the spark plugs in my (new to me) 2003 Fat Boy (FLSTFI).... I purchased this bike used last month, have been slowly doing all the maintenance, fluids, filters, etc....
Picked up a set of Autolite 4164's, and tried looking up the gap in my Clymer service manual, but they were kinda vague about an exact gapping. The manual states between .038" to .043" so I split the difference and gapped them at .040"....
With thunder storms looming all around us here I couldn't take it out for a test ride, but it did fire off faster than it ever has, and idol is a lot smoother. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the chance and the weather to test it out....
Just wondering what other's here with Twin Cam 88's gap their plugs at......?
