Just ordered a set of V&H Longshots for my 2003 Fat Boy.
When I purchased this bike used, the previous owner installed Cycle Shack slip-on's to the stock pipes, he forgot the heat shields for the mufflers leaving a section of unprotected pipe right where the passenger's foot sits on the peg. My daughter has already melted pant legs to it, and the wife has mentioned the heat on long rides.
One thing I like about the V&H Longshots is how both pipes go under the passenger foot peg relieving this problem.
To those who have these pipes....what baffle are you using, the quiet baffle, or the louder one.....?
I'm thinking quiet baffle will be sound enough.......
