hey guys i'm thinking of lowering my fatboy with the progressive drop in lowering system. Has anybody used this on there softail? What are your thoughts if you did, was it good or bad, i think i only want to lower the front 1". Trying to decide if i want to do this or not thanks for input and opinions.
I lowered mine 1" with the drop in lowering kit. I also added the Ricor Intiminators at the same time. It rides great, but I am not sure how it would be without the intiminators. I guess it would be fine, but the intiminators make it much smoother.
While we are on the topic, how hard are these to install? Was thinking of order a kit this week and trying the install myself.
I think I have seen them on ebay around $90 +/- anyone know of a great deal on these?
(not trying to steal the thread- just expand it a little)
I had read a post that said these kits don't "drop in" on the flstf but I can't figure out how or why the fatboy would be any different.

Sorry, can you share the pict from that tools? I have 2009 Fatboy and still not satisfy with rear ground clearance, is it the same tool that I can use to reduce rear GC?
I was just looking at ebay and there were 3 or 4 buy it now auctions for $95 w/ free shipping. (part 10-2003)
There is one for $88 shipped but not sure if it is the right part number, waiting to hear back from the seller.
I'm just hoping I am not getting in over my head... still have that air ride to install!
