Visited the dealer today for state inspection, got talkin,.... and they told me this will be the last year for the crossbones..... I was ? like ? What you talkin about willis??
Well if this is true, what will be to come. Im suprised HD didnt produce more of a older bobber style bike in the 2011 line up, It seems that the high priced bikes are on order, and hard to get or a wait. The mid range $$ bikes moving so,so... Stock is up and holding $38.50 compared to last year, $21.26... Reguardless of that, it will be sad to see the x-bones removed from the softail lineup. If the rumor holds true. HD is pretty tight about info so it maybe just that.... a rumor. We will see.
Again, the reason I heard from my dealer is that the Crossbones is not compatible with ABS brakes which, apparently, HD is migrating towards on all their bikes. For me, since I just bought the last model year of the Crossbones, let 'em be discontinued!....there'll be fewer of them out there that look like mine
