I have a 1990 Fatboy that I assumed was original but have been told by some people the emblem on the tank is not original. It has a circle in yellow and an elongated cross to the right with the words Harley Davidson with a yellow background. Help. I am trying to sell this bike but running into walls.
Sue, Probably not checking on here anymore for answers, but I will try to post a pic of the tank emblem on my 1990 Fatboy. It is a "decal" on the tank, not a "chrome emblem" like some bikes have today (ALL the 93-96 FLSTNs had the Fatboy decal 'recreated' as an emblem and they lookd pretty hot). Anyway, basically a stylized set of "wings" with the words Harley-Davidson in the center-circle area with a single yellow circle as an accent (1990 only...NO yellow accents on any other fatboy year.
OK, upload worked. The first pic is the original 1990 Fatboy logo. The other pic (green bike) is the FLSTN (93-96) version of this same logo, but done up as an emblem.
Hope this answers any future questions. (I am sure the OP is not checking back here...old post!)
