Got a phone call from my dealer yesterday stating that Harley had issued a "product upgrade" for a belt that was on my bike. Is this just a fancy way of saying recall? Talking to the tech he said it was a belt inspection and replace if needed. Said they had a belt for me and it would take about 4 hours. I did a quick google looking for product upgrades for Harley's but didn't find anything. Is there a site to go to that list recalls and what not for HD's?
Does this sound right? This is my first Harley, wondering if this happens often?

I don't know about a recall or service bulletin, but if they are going to do this for free, it would be a GREAT opportunity to have them put the SE compensator on - would cost you the amount of the part ($250), but I'd think no additional labor since they have to have the primary apart anyway.
Had one recall on ours when new,, the 07s at first had a issue with a weld on oil tank that wasn't ground smooth.
One of the wires from the batt could rub through and ground out from it..they put some kind of insulator over it...
Well, jokes on me. My wife was in cahoots with the dealer. She had some black V&H staggered longshots put on.with the Screaming Eagle Super Tuner and new air kit. Can we say HELL YEAH?!?
