I don't do poker runs anymore. Most of the weekend warriors that show up are full-time alcoholics, part-time riders and douchebags. A lot of them only ride when they go on poker runs, therefore they don't what the fock they're doing anyways. Constantly rapping on the pipes, doing burnouts everywhere they shouldn't be, acting like jackasses. All it does is make the rest of us guilty by association.
Sorry to hear about your bike. But that would have never happened in the company of responsible, adult, riders.
man that sucks, maybe the security camera will pay off in the end for ya! or maybe you could ask around if anyone saw it happen, after awhile the truth is bound to come out!
09B29, I had a rude awaking to the nature of people. In 2000 myself and 2 other buddies were headin back from Sturgis's 60th. Headin' east on I-90, there was a **** load of construction going on, stop and go until we got to the end. I went to take off and the bike just died like you shut it off. I pushed down the on ramp and got in the shade . Determined it was the coil so between the three of us we got the bike to the station up the road. Where ever it was this guy named Hutch must have owned it ! There was a Hutches gas station, Hutches cafe, Hutches lounge, and Hutches motel. Which is by the way where I had to stay the night because I could not get one bike haulin "brother" to help a another "brother" out ! They were looking at me like I was crazy. I pled my case at all four of these places, offering $10 more than a new coil would cost them ....... nobody helped. So my buddy rode to Sioux Falls that night and brought me back a coil the next morning. I mean come on. If you are trailering your bike ( and alot were) you would think that atleast one just one would have helped..... Whatever ... Oh yeah it was over 200 miles to Sioux Falls from where Hutch owned everything....
