I wear Doc Martens Ironbridge boots the non-steel toe ones. These are the best boots I have owned. I paid $120 for them 6 years ago and I could get one more year out of them. The soles are non-slip and the best part the soles aren't stiff so walking around in them all day is no problem.
I have Georgia Boot steel toes made for standing on concrete floors. The most comfortable boot I've ever worn. They have a large toe box and padded reinforced ankle. Dressed with mink oil and they're water proof too!
I spent some time with the Navy and they gave me some of their work boots. They are over the ankle with a steel toe and non-slip sole. Very comfortable, look nice and I imagine they'd be pretty cheap at any surplus store.
Same here...only I bought the 'Sword' model. Has the zipper on the inside for easy on/off. Funny thing was that I went to a number of stores locally and didn't find anything that I liked. I saved the Harley store for last, found the right pair, and paid less than I would have at the other non-Harley stores! Go figure.
I have a few pair. Two of them are just "cheap" boots from Leatherup that I wear just around town or to the store. But when it comes to go time, I always wear my Cruiserworks boots. They are light, comfortable, and waterproof. I got sick of taking two pair of boots out on the week long trips. I found good boots to be one of the most important investments.

You got a name for these high speed navy work boots?
