I dont know if its any consolation but I just pasted the 1000mi mark on my cvo springer and went over 113mph stock motor got a little shaky at about 100mph the bike still had more (I know big bore). I think that my bike is good for at least 120mph if I had sack to push it that far. I ll keep you posted!
Well, I have a new top speed on my Train as of tonight. I was on my way home from band practice, doing around 70mph, and I was passing a Mustang when the guy starts to accelerate, for whatever reason, I twisted the wick and before I knew it I was doing around 115 mph (over 185 km/h) and still accelerating!!! We both ahd to slow down due to traffic, but what a rush! And no stability issues whatsoever. She was solid, and stuck to the road!
My 05 had the V+H Big Shots staggered, hypercharger, and pc III with the dynojet map..........I had wound it out past 120 on numerous occasions. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know...I've already had people say BS.....but it's true. My friends can verify because they could not stay with me. One on an 03 RK (done at 110-112), the other on a whatever jap 1500 (about 105 est...his speedo don't work but Howie left him at that speed). It was fast out of the hole too. Just bought my 07 Saturday. They will be putting the black inverted front end on, slotted 6 spoke black and alloy front wheel and black floating rotors. My 05 died when a drunk illegal hit my wife and I. We did not die and we will ride again! Here's a couple pics. The pic of the new bike aint great (camera phone...bad light) but that is Vinnie from OCC's dad, Mr D, in the pic with it. Great guy. He's a salesman at Destination Daytona HD. The other pic is/was my 05. It was my first shiny new HD. I made it a hair over 2 years and a hair over 34,000 miles before this bastard almost killed us.
P.S. Just read some earlier posts. I see I'm not the only one to run that speed with a basically stock train. It was pretty smooth even wound out. I did it on the freeway a few times through sweeping turn just north of my exit heading south and did it on US 1 heading north towards Jacksonville (strait line) with us running 3 wide.....until I twisted the grip
