Default samson fishtail brackets

I have the samson true dual fishtails on my 09 deluxe. Why these rear brackets come black ill never know. My question is has anyone had these chromed and how much did it run. Ive called a couple places around alabama and they wanna charge 200.00 i just think that is a little high. Anyone chromers or reccomend anyone would be appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing. I opened up this big box full of shiny parts only to find black brackets. I thought "WTF". Then I thought too myself "I should have known that everything couldn't be perfect". I am also considering having them chromed. I don't know who's clean *** sled this is but he has had his chromed.

The only place I know of is in Florence Alabama. I had some motorcycle parts chromed there back in the mid 60's. Best I can remember they did a good job.

Yea i called graves and they closed at 330 so i didnt get to talk with them. Their website says a shop minimum of 100.00 now that doesnt sound bad but the other folks quoted me 200.00 and to me for those little steel brackets thats high

A lot is involved in chroming. Stripping the finish off and polishing the metal to a mirror finish is good deal of work.

Cale, if you ever bring your *** up here. LOL I will introduce you to my guy. Hes done all my work. One man operation, but second to none. He does chrome and any color powder coat that you want. For example, I did my whole front end for $150, where 3 BIG NAME places wanted $350. Let me know if you want some info.

Default chrome

i was going to have mine chromed over last winter but never took the time. After looking at it for a while i decided it was a waste of money . the black brackets do not bother me at all and i do not think it will add much for the money you have to spend. i decided against it
