Question 2011 Fatboy Front Turn Signal Help

I need to either relocate or lower the stock front turn signals on my 2011 Fatboy because I want to put a quick release fairing on it. All the fairings I've looked at either partially block or completely block the stock signals. Is there some type of extender on the market or does anybody have any creative ideas about how to extend them? I think they need to be about 2 inches lower as long as the short wire will go that far...

Also, I was told that the wires are molded to the switch which is different from previous model years. Does anybody know about this? Why did H-D do this?? If this is true, how much of a pain it the neck will it be to relocate them altogether?

Thanks for your help.

IF you don't want to relocate the turn signals Memphis Shades has a bullet fairing:

The stock turn signals are one molded unit... can't be rebuilt, dissassembled, etc... My '10 is the same way.

I have relocated the signals on mine using kit from steel eagle (look on ebay) but to do it right you need to disconnect them from the wiring harness, relocate and install them, then re-route the wires back to the harness.
