I put 2 into 1 pipes on my Road King to improve performance and reduce weight (and because the original header broke). I would have preferred a 2 into 1 for the Blackline, but these Samsons just look too awesome ...
2-2 or 2-1, get what you like, the thing you should be worried about once you make your decision is the diameter of the pipes. Its all about how fast the exhaust is moving through the pipes.

Which is why a 2-1 will outperform a 2-2. Scavenging!

This is really your best tool. Since your on this forum already, you must be somewhat internet savvy. Utilize youtube and listen to sound clips and view systems mounted on various motorcycles. Some systems do make more power than others but since you ride a Harley, none of them will magically make your bike fast. With proper tuning, ANY system will get you down the road, whether its a 59 dollar set of drag pipes or 800 dollar custom two into one. Pick the one you like the best and give it a go.

I want to thank everyone for their input.
I'm still undecided on what I want but I think I will go with something that looks good to me and if I give up HP & Torque so be it. If I wanted fast I would have bought a crouch rocket.
I bought a Harley because I like to lay back and enjoy the ride.
I got the VnH BRs. I love the look of the 2-2. The curved lines really do it for me. This week I'm finishing up the carb and cams. The cams make the pipes ROAR! The performance is kick ***! I was thinking of doing the fat cat, and I know the performance would be a little better with that one, ( and I may still go to it in the future,). But the looks and the sound of the BRs did it for me!

Agreed. I thought the same but when you start mod'ing things and run out of the "pretty" stuff, you start looking at performance like cams, big bore etc and then you "wish" you would have thought about the performance stuff when you started adding the chrome bits.
I really like that Patriot header up there ^^^. That will end up on my next bike.
