Here's one I have not seen anywhere else but get alot of positive feedback on. I put a sissy bar bag on the luggage rack of the deluxe. It fits perfect and I got some heavy duty black zip ties that you can't even see. If you click the thumb you can see the bag on the rack.

Short distance on my Fay Boy I use a rear bag from SAC. Long distance I use my Ultra!

They came with mounting brackets although all three holes don't line up on the Deuce - but 1 of the top and the bottom one do... they ain't goin' nowhere.

My first post in this forum. Hey, please don't bust my b*lls for being a bagger. My wife just got a new 07' Deluxe, really sweet ride. Question for you softail folks, What do you use to store your stuff, both small and big? First of all, stuff like sunglasses, lic, reg, insurance card, and maybe gloves. I know you can put saddle bags on these, but they look real good without them too. Pictures will help alot, thanks guys.
Can't avoid bags.. I'm in process of going "large" with some ironbag Iron Max's.. for the big trips. The smaller hard leather bags I had did a fine job on their own though.. and those were quick detachable so I could go packed then go light when I got where I was headed. The trade-off is I won't have quick detach with the large bags, so I get to pull out a wrench when I wash/service it.

For just "day-packing", If I have the windsheild, the windsheild bag holds a lot of small stuff. The chrome teardrop toolbox holds tools and the pouch for the lens-swap for the goggles/shades. Any more than that and I gotta throw on the sissybar bag which crams fairly good for a weekend. If I had to pack more than a big sissybar bag and saddlebags, I start rethinking the junk I'm carrying.

The big bags should pretty much bring me up to bagger storage capacity.. 14"x8"x22" Their leather replacement bags for tourbikes isn't much bigger. With those along with the sissybar bag, it should load up as much as any full bagger with luggage rack. Hard part is getting the huge bags on some softails.. Not too many makers of superlarge bags, and fatboys like mine require some rear signal modification and of course stock pipes won't cut it.

I have a teardrop toolbox, that I painted to match my Night Train, for small items such as sunglasses, keys, etc... (I have the liner too, so I put the stuff in the liner, and it comes out together). For larger items, like rain gear, I have a roll bag that attaches to my sissybar and sits on the passenger pillion.

Here's a couple of pics of the toolbox.

Cheers!

Clammy, that's clever painting them to match, makes them nearly invisible.
Good Job.

Thanks! I did it with the HD "Texture Black" rattle can and it turned out better than I expected! It's hard to see in the pics, but it does ahve the wrinkled finish (although not as "wrinkly" as the factory parts).

Cheers!
