I have a 1994 FLSTC that i bought a windshield off Ebay for. It was said to fit an FLSTC but doesn"t. I contacted the seller and he told me then that it came off a 2005 FLSTCI. The crossbar holes only match on the center one and outer ones. The vertical holes are 1 inch too narrow for the mounting hardware. Do any of you have any ideas what I can do here to make this work? Can I get newer mounting hardware or will that not fit the forks then? I may just get pissed off and buy a new replacement for big money if it gets too stupid...

I think you're screwed. You have a 94 and you bought just the clear Lexan from a detachable windshield? In 94 detachables hadn't been invented. There's the problem. The two windshields are completely different.

listen good if you paid with paypal you are in a good position. ask the seller for a full refund including shipping both ways because it was his mistake. if he refuses go to paypal and file a complaint under the item was not as described. they will then freeze his account until its settled and they make a decision. If he is found wrong you will get your money back mean while if he has money in his account he will be burning because he cant get it. This info is worthless if you did not pay with paypal. if you did not use paypal go to e bay and file with them. I have been buying and selling on e bay for eight years and have had just about every situation you can think of

I paid with Paypal but the price was rediculously low...$7.55 with $12.95 for shipping. If this came from a detachable setup, can I get the mounting hardware and frame to make this work? As I said earlier the windshield's vertical holes were narrower than my fixed mount holes.

For the $20 cost I'd just invest another $6 in a specialized plastic bit (3 flutes instead of 2 for steel) and run new holes. The mounting kit would probably cost near $150.
