I have a 96 Heritage that needed a new windshield. I ordered a Memphis Shades replacement but came to find out that the previous owner must have changed out on the mounting strips and hardware as the replacement doesn't fit properly.
As Harley won't allow shipping overseas I'm kinda SOL in trying to find one online. I've tried JP Cycles but can't find the original mounting hardware based on part numbers.
Does anyone know another online shop that might have original type hardware.
I kinda sorta maybe had a similar issue as you. I heard that you can get the hardware kit for like $80 from HD...however being the cheap a$$ that I am, I didn't even bother calling them to find out.
I can tell you that the bolt is a 5/16-24 which is very hard to find in chrome...but if you look around on Ebay you can find what you need, however, you may have to cut them to size.
