I've just got a standard and none of my passengers have complained one bit. I did put a sissy bar and a "small pad" on it and have had no complaints. Had one passenger that I had to aske her to hit me every once in a while to let me know she was still there. She is kinda small right!!. Roll'n down the road and every once in a while she would hit my shoulder and yell "I'M OK!!!" Great times. My daughter rode with me once and she was trying to drive the bike too much. I want her to take the MSF Course but she doesn't want to. We still had a good time but she is not comfortable on the bike.
I have the Deluxe, and have added the tall backrest, passenger boards and just got the big pillion.
We did a few hundred miles in Laconia and the girl said that the stock pillion would hurt after an hour or so. She said it hurt her inner thigh because it wasn't wide enough and all the pressure was on her thigh, so I just got the bigger pillion and will try it when the sun comes out
