Default Windshield Advice

Looks as if I am trading in my FXD for a Fat Boy. I run a Windvest windshield on the FXD and it is perfect for me.

Any ideas on shields for the Fat Boy? I do not like the HD windshields at all.

BTW, the Windvest costs about $360.00

Thanks in advance.

I'm getting a Windvest for my softail heritage. Tried the 14 inch, too small and now I'm waiting for the 16. I've seen them on Fatboys, they look good. I'd stick with the windvest.

I have to agree with the above post. I think Windvest shields look good on Fatboys.
I put one on my 06 Softail Standard. I just finished an 8 day 1,700 mile trip and the Windvest cut the fatigue factor to almost none. I started out with a 16x16 Windvest and it was to small in height. The customer service at Windvest was superb! They exchanged it for a 16 wide x 18 tall clear shield..I put it on using the middle holes and that made it a 17" tall shield,,,,,works really well for me at 6' tall. I like the looks and function on the wider (16") shields.

Not sure that you would want one but make sure you check the forum classifieds. I found a really good deal(about 1/2 price) for a HD windshield for my new FB Lo and it had only been used once.
