Hi Bluerose,

Not familiar with Beautyr rigs, or even if I have them for that matter!

Could you elborate?

Thanks,
Arthur

visability is the reason I haven't changed the beauty rigs on the lights...so thy can be seen from the side. So far I haven't had too many problems. I even removed the reflectors. But I have white on the bike and wear colors other then black.

A brick is good, but not sure how far I could throw it while riding.
Perhpas a handle bar mounted rocket propelled grenade launcher?

Seems like we're going to have to get aircraft strobe lights to get the attention of some of these people. That or toss a brick through their windshield.

I drove my SUV today and people were cutting me and turning right in front of me. I think they can see you, it is that they don't care.

Oh yea, do you know if they make one to fit behind a sissy bar for tailgaters?

Opps beauty rings

Just the rings on the front of your lights that hold the lens/light in (also called Trim rings). You remove them when you need to change the light. I was going to get the extended ones like these. Thought they might block that extra bit of light you can see from the side....so I haven't decided yet.

Concerned less about the front, with the 3 headlights but still considering the lighted mirrors that are new for this year. Can\t say I dig the look very much, but thats not the point. Course I won't see them while riding anyway!

And now, for the rear. Got that cool, yet very low-key, tombstone light on the back. Sporting saddle bags often and am considering putting some on the bags as they did not come with them (Leatherworks) .

Any suggestions out there for visibility increase?

Thanks,
Arthur

Cruising this section because I'm thinking of upgrading my wife from a Sportster to a Fat Boy.

Do you have the Kuryakyn or H-D Run/Turn/Brake controller? Best bang for the buck to increase visability to the rear. Plug and play with a 5 minute install. Wouldn't have a bike without it.

Sorry, should have included this.

www.kuryakyn.com

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=2577 I think this is the part you need.

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3021 Red lens'

I'm a big fan of Kuryakyn. Burned out a run/turn/brake controller on my wife's bike, called em' up, they said "no problem, new one is on the way". Great customer service and tech support. The one on my FLHTCI has been on board for 13,000 miles and almost 2 years with no problems.

Wife has a Deluxe and I have a RoadGlide. I had the same concern so I got the module that harley sells for about $45 that will turn the rear turn signals into running lights/brake lights/turn signals. The wife ride behind me and says it helps alot.
