Found some info, the dyna headlight will need to be used because it is smaller dia then the night train. theres a cup that mounts around the bucket which holds the fairing
Here is my Night Train with a Night-Rod fairing. The stock headlight had some nuts sticking out on the back and you need a smooth headlight bucket to mount inside the fairing. I put some 5" pull back risers for more clearance but I think the stock risers would have worked.

There is a new headlight mounting block needed, the stock one was too wide (just) and the new one is a bit taller. I didn't want to remove the tank so if you are careful you can transfer the cable from one bucket to the other using a jeweler's screwdriver. Remove the wires from the connector by compressing the locking tabs. Pull the cable out of the stock bucket and into the new bucket then reinsert the wires into the connector. That is about it.

The block come with the headlight/fairing combo? or you had to purchase separately?

I bought everything on ebay from the-darkside-nightrain and did a lot of experimenting. The fairing was already painted to match my bike. I have seen a similar mounting block on ebay, chrome from demonscycle not sure if it is HD or not. I'd like to find a block that mounted the light closer and lower but this will do for now.
