Hi there, long time lurker and now I need some help.
So I know that they say you have to have forward controls for them to work. I have seen some Crossbones with the Pro Streets on this forum and that is what I really want. Seems the models I have seen in this forum say they go right on no problem. Now, I called Bassani last week and they said they had just test fitted some on a Crossbones and the Pro Streets would not fit without mod'ing the floorboards some how. I am thinking, maybe these were Pro Streets with heat sheilds and maybe that is what gotr in their way when test fitting. If that is the case, I am getting black ones anyways, and if the heat off the headers bother me I have no problem just wrapping them up. So, can anyone that has the Bassani Pro-Streets give me a definitive answer and provide a part number for me? Also, I plan on keeping my o2 sensors so I will need whatever model that offers the bungs already installed.
Just a suggestion, but you may want to send a pm to some of the forum members you mentioned that have these on the Crossbones. I used to have the pro streets on my fatboy when I still had floorboards on it, but I don't know how different the crossbones boards are. Mine fit fine.
Hey there, thanks for the help! I did send a message to someone, at least I think i did. I left a message on his profile page. Either way, Your response was a big help seeing how the two bikes are very similar. Seems anything the grabs my interest is always more difficult than what most people get. Thanks again for stepping in.
