Default Springer guards

I'm new to the Harley family. Just bought a left over 14 Softail Deluxe and was looking at all the posts about the saddlebag guards as I don't like the only ones Harley says is available for my bike. So, My question is, Can I use the Springer guards on my 14 Deluxe without any modding? I am also looking to do the passenger floorboards too which the Harley guards will not allow.

There are many instances where HD notes that two parts are incompatible together. That isn't always accurate. I am using the Heritage guards with passenger footboards.

Thank you. I guess that was the answer I was looking for whether or not HD parts book was accurate on the parts. As I stated I don't like the ones the book says goes with the deluxe so I will be looking into other guards. Thank you, again.
