I'm changing my electronic ignition over to point on 99 FXST. Can anyone give me advice on procedure ?

 

ya, DON'T!!! why do you want to go with an inaccurate, constantly changing, high maintenance, unreliable system as points are, when the electronic counterpart is soooo much better?

 

what electronic ignition do yoy suggest to replace stock

 

is it an evo or twin cam? either way crane makes a great single fire ignition system that uses very good components, I've used them in the past with very good results, there are others on the market, spend some time researching this . do not go back to points (must be an evo, don't know of any conversion to points for tc)
