I have ordered a new fatboy lo with streetslammer handle bars and the dealer has advised me that one of the brake cables I need (part number 38135-11 - front lower brake line singular disk - softail ABS FLSTFB - Diamond Black) is out of stock in my country (Thailand) and HD US dont have stock either. So they have the cable on back order but cant advise a delivery date. I have also checked Singapore and Australia and got the same response.....and the couple of internet sites I have tried in the US also have the same answer.
As I understand it there are two parts to the brake cable being an upper and a lower and the upper is maybe the varible length cable depending on what handlebars you are running. Does anyone know if the difference between the LOWER factory stock cable and the LOWER "BLACK DIMOND" cable I am seeking is just colour? I see on the website that the cable I am ordering (page 619 of the HD catalogue 38135-11) is listed as 19.75".
If so I guess I can live with that for a few months otherwise I will need to start looking more broadly on the internet. I really want to stay with the stock HD parts on this one, as I already have the top cable.
