Default How hard is it

Hello everyone, been lurking for a while. I am in the market for a Harley. Been riding a Honda cruiser for the last three years and average about 10,000 miles a year. My dilemma is this. Love Heritage softails, but in the summer, I like the stripped down (naked) look. How hard is it to remove windshield, bags, pillion seat, sissy bar on the Heritage. Optimally I wish it were like the Switchback where I could remove everything in minutes! The Heritage without all the stuff looks just as bad_as with or without it's clothes!
Thanks for any help, and really enjoy the forum!

It's pretty simple, but get some quick release hardware for the bags and sissy bar and it will be even easier.

x2. I have a heritage. Put on quick release hardware for the backrest and Easy Brackets for the bags. I have two different backrests, one tall and one short both with luggage racks, a detachable HD leather tour pack, and a couple of different seats. Excessive I know, but I love being able to swap things around depending on how or where I'm riding. I got most of the parts, other than the detachable hardware, from ebay or forum post. Paid less than HD retail. Most of the time I ride with it stripped down.

And if you've done a good job with the mods, your stripped down Heritage will look like this:

Ah...did not know you can mod it that way. I know you. An put ghost brackets on my Honda....did not know you could do the same foe the Heritage. So the Heritage bags can be used with like ghost brackets or something similar. Btw...awesome bike!

I can go from Full dressed touring to stripped down barhopper in 10 minutes on my Heritage Springer.
HD offers a wide variety of detachable stuff.

I'm not a fan of ghost brackets. Cycle Vision barebacks, or Bubbas offer a couple of saddlebag detach items that are a lot cleaner

It takes me longer to find a place to stow the gear in the garage when I strip it down then it does to take it off.

Takes me 10 minutes to strip it down, 30 mins to put it back together, only because I run solo most of the time and don't like the pillion scratching the fender so I put down strips of electrical tape on the fender before the pillion goes back on. But yeah, there's lots of ways to shorten the time up with a few extra quick detach pieces...
