i saw a nice looking set of SE Fishtails in the 2012 HD Big Book yesterday...

look similar to the Kuryakin tips you can add on to your stock mufflers...if ya want quiet...

Fullsac also has add-on tips and replacement baffles for stock mufflers...look at their website to see the directions...

I'm really thinking about getting a set of fishtails for my Heritage. Do they sound as good as they look?

I actually purchased this set of V & H's from forum member Nikonf8 last December and absolutely love the appearance and tone (w/ their Quiet Baffles).

They do sound as good as they look, if not better. There is nothing else that sounds like fishtails. One day this week I'll get a video of my Samson's so you can all hear me coming from a few blocks away too. LOL.

Thanks, can;t wait to see and hear the vid. I like the slip ons I have now, but every time I look at my Heritage, It seems to be missing something on the left side. I love the looks of the fishtails and think they would be just the ticket.

I agree. The symmetry is much better with the bags with a true dual setup. Hopefully I'll get a minute to get out and take a video before 5pm.

I'm about ready to purchase the Samson Fishtails, but I don't know which one to get. The baffled or unbaffled. I'm truly baffled (pun intended). I like a nice bark to come out of those pipes when I open the throttle. I'm afraid the baffled pipes would be too quiet.

Also, how do you keep those really long pipes from scraping in the tight corners? I scrape my floorboards quite a bit. I'd hate to tear up those pipes.
