3weeks ago the Son, a friend and I tool a 5day 1550 miles trip down the Skyline in Vig.
They both have touring bikes, Ultra and son's Street glide.

I didn't have one pain the whole trip, The Heritage is truly the touring Softail.

At almost 62 and shattered a L3 Vertebrae yrs I wasn't sure how it'd go..

Love ours. 07 with 34k.

Enjoy her, its a great bike.

I miss my 08 Heritage. I traded her in for a 11 Limited so the o/l would be more comfortable but I sure wish I could have kept them both.....

You made a good choice. There's no comparison between your new Softail and the Street Bob....and you even got 103 inches of pure Harley power :-)

Thanks for the welcome. I am LOVING this bike! Unfortunately I didn't get to ride it much this week between work and rain, and I can't ride at all Saturday due to another non-bike related event I have to go to but Sunday ....... woo hoo. For me, even if not officially in the "touring class", it's MY touring machine! Hubby had the day off today and offered to bring it back to the dealer to pick up my registration and get it inspected. He called me at work and said "you have one sweet ride" ! (He in fact test road a Heritage before he bought his Softail Custom - he just decided he wanted to get back to a more "choppa" style.).
